Michael Lee currently serves as the Vice President for Instruction, working with various
Deans and Directors to oversee CBC’s Instructional Division. He began teaching English
and Literature at CBC in September of 1999. Prior to coming to CBC, he taught at Grays
Harbor College in Aberdeen, Washington, and Henan Medical University in Zhangzhou,
China. While teaching at CBC, he's completed a Ph.D. in English and the Teaching of
English from Idaho State University.
Currently at CBC, he chairs the Sabbatical Leave Committee and co-chairs the Curriculum
Committee. He is also a member of the Promotion Advisory Committee.
In the community, he serves on the Benton Franklin Workforce Development Council.
He also serves on the Greater Columbia Accountable Community of Health’s workforce
development committee and the advisory board for the Culinary Program at Tri-Tech
Skills Center. He is currently working with WSU-TC and a CBC team as part of the
STEM Transfer Institute to build better bridges for STEM students who are low income.
Michael works to support opportunities for positive interactions between faculty members
and students that foster educational growth for all students at CBC.
