Bill returned to teaching in fall of 2024. From 1998 to 2024 he was the Dean of Arts, Humanities and Communication. Prior to his administrative appointment in 1998, he was a member of the music department at Columbia Basin College where he began his career at CBC as a part-time instructor in 1985, Mr. McKay remains active as a working pianist covering a variety of styles.
His primary instructional assignment is instruction in Music Appreciation and Class piano. He has also taught 2nd year theory and History of Jazz. Additionally, he is theatre facilities coordinator and enjoys working with the college Foundation in the raising of funds for student scholarships.
