Esvelt Gallery is proud to present the work of Curtis Bartone.
Bartone’s work explores how our complex and romanticized view of the natural world and our understanding of wilderness is affected by mythology, religion, art, science, photography and digital technology. Incorporating science writing, the tragedies of William Shakespeare, and the biblical plagues of Egypt—the work seeks to reveal the tug-of-war between chaos and order; life and death; ripeness and decay and the tendency of the natural world toward equilibrium and restoration of ages-old cycles.
There will be an artist talk via Zoom on Thursday, September 23 at 4 PM PST.
Zoom link will be posted closer to the date of the talk on the Arts Center Website
