Columbia Basin College will hold its third annual Nuclear Technology Open House and Career Fair Monday night.
The open house is a free event where prospective students and community members can learn about the nuclear energy industry. Attendees can also learn about CBC's Nuclear Technology program and how it trains students for the workforce, along with admission requirements and the application process.
The event will showcase NT classrooms and labs, and include hands-on activities, a nuclear industry exhibit, and two 15-minute sessions that focus the life of a radiation protection technician. Representatives from the local nuclear industry will also be on hand to answer any questions.
The open house starts at 5:30 PM on Monday, March 18th, in the Center for Career and Technical Education (CCTE) on CBC's Pasco campus.
CBC is currently accepting applications for the fall 2013 Nuclear Technology program now through April 15th.
