Eligibility for enrollment in courses under the Running Start program are as follows:
- All students must place in reading at the college-level, and either in math or English, at college level.
- If the student’s reading, English, and math scores qualify for college-level courses, he/she may register for any college-level course. English 101 and Math 107 are college levels.
- If the student’s reading and English scores qualify for college-level courses, but the math scores do not, he/she may only register for college-level courses that do not include mathematics, or classes that have no math prerequisite.
- If the student’s reading and math scores qualify for college-level courses, (Math 107) but English scores do not, he/she may register for any college-level course that does not have an English 101 prerequisite. Students should also take precaution when English 101 is strongly recommended.
