Application Process
The Radiologic Technology program accepts students into the program once a year. Applications are available January 1 yearly and are accepted between February 1 and March 31 yearly. Classes begin during the summer quarter after acceptance. Acceptance to the program is highly competitive. Applicants are screened according to grades and score on the TEAS exam. Screening occurs using a tool called the Application Index Score Calculator. After the initial index score is computed, applicants are ranked and invited to participate in the interview process. The interview process evaluates applicants' written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of the field. A selection committee chooses the students for the program based on their final Admissions Index Score which includes points awarded for the interview process.
Steps in the application process:
- Attend an information session (required to apply; no reservation necessary).
- Make an appointment with a counselor to create an education plan for getting your prerequisites completed so it coincides with your intended application date.
- Achieve grades of at least a 2.5 in each prerequisite course.
- Take the TEAS exam at the Assessment/Testing Center and achieve a score of 65 or higher.
- Request official transcripts from all colleges attended to be sent to CBC Admissions (your official transcripts will not be evaluated unless there is a current CBC application on file).
- Print the Radiologic Technology application from this website and fill it out thoroughly. Applications for the Radiologic Technology program are accepted between February 1 and March 31 each year (Deadline for 2013 is April 2). Incomplete applications will not be considered.
