- Get informed before deciding if Running Start is the best option for the student. You can do this by:
- Discussing it with a high school counselor
- Attending Running Start informational meetings presented by a high school
- Reading the Running Start handbook available at the Running Start office at CBC
- Prepare to take the COMPASS test:
- Find out when the COMPASS test is offered to high school students
- Study guide is available online
- On the day of the test, you will need to bring with you:
- Picture ID
- $21.50 testing fee receipt (cash, check, or debit/credit cards accepted)
- Social Security number
- Complete and return the CBC admissions application to the Running Start office at CBC
- Meet with your high school counselor; take your COMPASS test scores to the meeting
- Each quarter, a verification form will need to be filled out, signed by a high school counselor, parent, and turned into the Running Start office
