The Nuclear Technology program is a two-year Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree program. There are currently three degree options*:
*A revision has been made to the 2013-2014 Degree Requirements effective Jan. 2014. PHYS& 100/101 - Physics for Non-Science Majors is now the Physics requirement for the NT degree.
**Degree options are determined by local and national industry demand, and are subject to change.
General Education Courses
Prospective students are encouraged to complete Nuclear Technology general education courses, prior to applying to the program. These courses provide points towards program entry. General education courses that may be completed prior to entry include the following:
Non-Degree Seeking - For Personal & Professional Growth
Students interested in taking individual NT support and/or major courses may do so for continued education, degree exploration, personal enrichment, incumbent worker training, and counts as a "restrictive elective." A maximum of 15 credit hours may be taken before a student must apply and be accepted into the Nuclear Technology program. Course enrollment is based on seat availability and Nuclear Technology Director's approval.
