Fitness Center
The CBC Athletic department has always taken pride in being a reputable stepping stone for athletes trying to improve their abilities in order to move on to a higher level of college or professional competition.
In 2005, the College expanded the 4,000-square-foot facility to 9,000-square-feet and purchased numerous new pieces of equipment. CBC's student-athletes are now reaping the benefits of the improved workout facility.
The addition of many new pieces of equipment has made CBC's strength and conditioning facility second to none amongst other junior colleges around the Northwest. An abundance of free weight equipment complimented by cardio machines, treadmills, recumbent bikes, elliptical machines, and rowing machines, make this facility versatile to any user. A new sound system was installed as well as updated ventilation and remodeled men's and women's locker rooms. The new weight room serves as a valuable recruiting tool as well as gives our athletes the proper facilities needed to improve their chances of recruitment following their careers at CBC.
Gymnasium
The CBC gymnasium, also known as "The Hawks Nest," is known around the Northwest as one of the most difficult places for opponents to play. CBC's volleyball and men's and women's basketball programs have benefited greatly from the nest full of noisy crowds. Reaching a capacity of 1,200 hungry Hawk fans, all nestled on one side of the gymnasium, makes for an electrifying atmosphere for our student-athletes and spectators.
Softball Field
CBC's softball field is second to none. Built in 2004, the facility offers batting cages for practice purposes and hitting tunnels to increase the total square footage of the batting facility to 7,000.
The dimensions are 200 feet in all depths of the outfield. An inning-by-inning scoreboard stands beyond the right field fence. The field is also equipped with bleachers, bull pens, and the finest field dirt on the market. CBC softball complex is one of the finest in the Northwest offering players all the essential tools to better their game.
Soccer Field
The CBC soccer complex, built in 2007, is hands down the best in the Northwest. The facilities include two level practice and playing fields that are perfectly maintained. High quality grass seed was used to make the field a beautiful playing surface that second to none. For easy maintenance, an under ground sprinkler system made specifically for high quality playing fields was added to keep the field soft and perfectly green. A 33-foot scoreboard was donated by Pepsi, complimenting the grounds. A video tower was added, thanks to the work of CBC's maintenance and grounds personnel, as well as a concentrated effort from CBC's welding program. Teams also enjoy newer benches with protected covers to help withstand poor weather for the players and coaches.
Baseball Field
CBC's baseball complex is unparalleled playing surface with one of the truest playing fields in the Northwest. Field dimensions include 330 down the lines, 375 in the alleys, and 400 in center. The scoreboard sits in left-center field displaying the program's Eastern Region titles.
Adding to the top notch playing field, CBC's baseball facility includes a 12,500-square-foot hitting facility. The layout consists of four batting tunnels, three batting machines, and several tee and short work stations, all positioned on astroturf inside perimeter fencing. Players have all the essential tools to work on their game on a daily basis.
