ASCBC recognizes that students who fully engage in out-of-classroom activities have an enhanced college experience. Engaged students are more likely to complete their degree and feel positive about their time in college. The experience is enhanced due to increased interaction with their peers, faculty, and college staff. Therefore, each year ASCBC encourages students to better their campus community by championing a platform or researching a topic that not only leads to their individual betterment but could also influence positive change for their peers. Please see the sub pages in the side menu for more information on our past special projects.
Research projects are open to all CBC students, but most of them are grown and nurtured by our ASCBC Leadership Council. Leadership Council is a weekly volunteer workshop which gives students the opportunity to hone their leadership skills through a group dynamic, become a more fiscally responsible leader through budget allocation, and participate in service/volunteer opportunities on campus and potentially throughout the community. The information below tells you how to register for Leadership Council. You will register for it just like it were a class. You may take it one quarter or multiple quarters.
