The CBC Foundation is making a big difference in our community by offering scholarships to students in need. Both of us were recipients of college scholarships that enabled us to pursue our college education and our dreams. We are thankful we can return the favor and support a new generation of students who have their goals and dreams to pursue.

Mead Excelling Our Next Generation Scholarship
We decided to partner with the CBC Foundation to offer deserving students the opportunity to earn a scholarship towards their college education because we both have strong ties within our community and both formerly attended CBC. We felt that this was a great way to give back to the college, students, and our community and to help our future generations excel. We also have hopes to inspire other CBC alumnus to give back to the college and help build a larger and more diverse base of donors.

Geri & Ron Walters Educational Excellence Scholarship
Caring and reaching out to others can make a difference not only in the life of the recipient but also in that of the giver. We both received academic scholarships upon high school graduation which coupled with earnings from summer jobs enabled us to attend and graduate from college. Education and a strong work ethic have been of great importance in shaping our lives and that of our family. The CBC Foundation provides us an opportunity to financially assist students who are pursuing degrees in elementary education or science. We hope our gift reaches beyond tuition costs to let students know that we care and want to encourage them to strive for excellence.
