Columbia Basin College is
your community college. Whether you seek the first two years of a university education, want to pursue a two-year degree or certificate that will make you employable in a career pathway, need classes to improve your English language skills (ESL) or to qualify you for a GED certificate, desire courses for personal enrichment or to assist you with a business start-up, or for any number of other educational needs, Columbia Basin College is your community college.
Last year alone, the College served nearly 13,000 individuals in our region through a wide range of instructional classes and services made possible by a highly qualified and dynamic faculty and staff.
As one sign of this dynamism designed to meet the demands of our growing community, Columbia Basin College started our first baccalaureate program, which began in September 2009. The Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Management degree creates a new four-year college pathway for graduates of our numerous Associate of Applied Science programs. Individuals with rich experience in fields as diverse as computer science, automotive technology, marketing, and many other professional and technical careers will be students in this applied management track that will lead to expanded career opportunities in supervision, management, and entrepreneurship.
Though we will be expanding our workforce education mission with a four-year program, CBC will always remain a comprehensive community college meeting the diverse needs of a diverse student body. We look forward to serving you to help you meet your educational and career goals.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I would enjoy meeting you and discussing how CBC can meet your educational needs.
