all this interesting, coach Matt Mills may stick around for another 200
The Hawks rallied for three unanswered goals after giving
up a pair in the first two minutes of the second half, pulling out a 3-2
win over Yakima Valley College in NWAACC East play Wednesday in Pasco.
Alvarado scored the winner in the 71st minute, about 9 minutes after
the sophomore from Richland tied the game. Taylor Schutzenhofer, a
captain and central defender from Kamiakin, moved up to the front line
in the second half and got the Hawks (4-3-2, 2-3-2 East) on the board in
the 59th minute.

the first two minutes, they scored two goals at the start of the second
half after (we’re) trying to rally over a pep talk at halftime,” the
11th-year coach said. “Taylor usually plays back, but we pushed her up
front, and once she scored that goal in the 59th minute, we really took
off from there, dominated from there.”
The Hawks, in third place in the NWAACC East, play at first-place Walla Walla on Saturday.
